Application: BIS (Benelux import system, with export transactions) is the Client's application for Customs clearance in the Benelux countries. This Uniface application, with about 400 components on 195 tables, is a key application to create and manage customs declarations, and to supply countless other software with data.
Customer: FedEx Corporation (www.fedex.com), the world's largest express transportation company, offering overnight courier, heavy freight, document copying and logistics services. Industry: Air Courier. Revenue: $36 Billion USD (2007). Employees: 275,000 (2006).
The contract was set for an initial period of 3 months and was then continuously extended.

Customer: Maximo SA (www.maximo.fr) provides a high quality (food) delivery service since 1970. More than 1'000 Tons fresh and frozen food articles are daily prepared for delivery to about 550'000 clients in France with more than 1'200 vehicles on duty.

2000: Motor vehicles tax application.
Improvement of a third party software managing the debtors of the motor vehicles tax department of the canton Zurich. Error handling was particularly improved.
Client: Motor vehicles tax department of the canton Zurich (www.stva.zh.ch) manages all the fees and taxes on motor vehicles for the canton Zurich. The contract was performed on behalf of Epsilon (www.epsilon.ch).

Migration of the full application from the character version (Uniface V4.5/V5.2, Oracle V6 RDBMS, Unix machine accessed through terminal emulations, Unix scripts, C programs, (PL /) SQL scripts, and so on) to a fully functioning Windows GUI client/server application (Uniface V7.2.06, Oracle V7 RDBS).

Improvement of the code quality through error correction, error management, data model corrections, use of development standards (Oracle National Language Settings versus Uniface NLS, zero value management,…). Support Team could then be reduced from 15 to 3 persons.

Representation in external meetings and workshops, for example, with the post office.
Application: Larix (Local Administration Running under Unix) was the open global solution for public administrations of Bull (Switzerland) AG. Hundred of Swiss municipalities used it for their daily business, on local machines or through computing centres. Improvement of the FIS 2000 application and development of new functionalities for reference data management, trading orders management (full software life cycle: analysis, coding, testing and documentation), a batch module of the central accounting (full software life cycle), and creation of development policy (null control, Oracle transaction management, error management system, HTML documentation documents for the intranet, etc.).
Customer: Finis AG (www.finis.ch) develops integrated and workflow-controlled software packages for merchant and portfolio management banks. About 100 specialists are involved in the construction of a modern, integrated client-server solution and the applications are developed in close co-operation with the shareholder banks.

1996: Application for common descent (genealogy) control.
Support the project leader in the development of the data model, guidelines, templates and components. The application allows the storage, the administration and the comparison of various genetic analyses, also through a Web (HTML) interface. Lead of an additional developer.

Customer: Derendinger AG (www.derendinger.ch) is a Swiss company in spare car parts retailing: 120'000 parts for about 14'000 car types in 28 subsidiaries with attached workshops are delivered with more than 200 vehicles to the garages. The client/server software solution of the Fey Consulting AG (still represented through Syz AG Informatik, www.syzag.ch), called Crescendo and written with Uniface in German/French/Italian, was used to manage most of the activities: trading, finance and accounting, stock and movements, human resources, etc.
